Wandering the passage of the unsaved heart & this break down
Was the grieving soul tossed away because there was nothing left to say
Before another night has passed me by & the fool who began to cry...
These changing seasons are like a passing illusion simply locked away
Lifeless Soul of the of the ruined heart beat that only wanted you to stay
Behind us are the tied hands of the past memories devoured by sorrow
Nothing left behind to remind me of this heart you stole or was it to borrow
And it all fades from view just like the poems that I once gave unto you....
These tears transcending through the Lifeless Soul of a purity so true
Remember the words written that came from my gentle voice
Understanding in the end we always have a choice....

Was it all just a broken promise from the heart that never let go
You were seeking something better because you were never complete
Consumed by the harsh impurity of the life you could never control
But you still remember the poet & his words still stuck in your head
Hanging By A Thread
Are we just existing here to be overwhelmed by the wounds of the past
Do you even understand the strength it took to rise up & not die
Countless times you saw the defeated love stricken fool who began to cry
Hanging By A Thread, just like the life of the child who never knew why

Upon the construction of the mental prison & the all consuming strain
Have we been sent here to cry away the weakness of the last fallen tear
By the shape of this despair & the perpetual cry for freedom or was it sorrow
Cursed By The Shadows to obliterate the sensitive & devour the divine
Open the portals & allow the soul to scream for the mercy never attained
Those sleepless memories weeping for the comfort pushed further away
But I have gone too dark & these four walls forever conceal the boy inside
Cursed By The Shadows & every ounce of love driven from this broken heart

There is no home to find because my eyes have seen too much
And the burning tears that no longer blur the dreams of the dead
I will seek the Secret Hiding Place & just bury my heart instead
I have been the world traveler & have seen more than you could know
In waking visions of a fake prophecy that cut the already bleeding wound
So when you choose to explain or maybe rectify your guilty past to me
There is no light shining within this dead soul for you to ever see
Cover your ears in denial & run away from the truth of what you should face
Stare past the beckoning of the poet & his Secret Hiding Place

Step away from the damaged man & the tears of the broken
In this destiny of silence & waves of absolute sorrow
Spent too much time waiting on hopeless dreams
Drag me through heartless agony & toss away the tool
These weeping eyes dissolved in a dream, Mourn The Fool
And so if this is where I seem to belong, just finish the cut & end the song
Show no more emotion & no longer pursue the poet, knowing it was wrong
Watch him drown in the pool made of sadness & forever weeping tears....
Mourn The Fool who believed in soft whispers & held on for too many years

It was over before my heart could believe in the dream
How did the end find a way to crush the purified heart
Maybe because I trusted in the only light I could find
A story of caution & sadness because I was left behind
The Poets Frown reminding the fool that he was blind
Maybe it was the crashing waves & the turning of the tide
Tempted by a second chance for peace so the pain might hide
When my time is up & my last breath is heard from far away
The Poets Frown will cease to be just like the very light of day

Moving slowly like an animal crawling towards the feast
Kindly step away & understand the premonitions of the poet
Their hollow eyes reflecting pain as They Danced Backwards

Buried Heart & the hallucinating dream of a beautiful kiss
Buried Heart & understanding all this time it was you that I miss
Release your grip on my ghost hand & chuck me deep into the ground
And in the night that dreadful hollow cry will be the very last sound
Who could envy the man who dreamed of being held & forever cared for
So I walk deeper into darkness & behind me I slowly shut the door....

Locked away in this cold prison where only the nightmares sigh
This is the untold tale of the dreams that died without a chance
Lost & Deranged from the moment the dark silenced romance
The flashbacks have returned to deliver sadness & heartbreak
Incomplete & now Lost & Deranged, this poet is a mistake
Every restless sigh blends into the mournful groan & the anguish of my cry
Crawling back into the dark corner waiting for love to just say goodbye
