This heart suffocating from the addiction that the needle began to steal
Blackened track marks like the road map of a lost soul dying to let go
Eyes rolling back to reveal the truth Underneath The Pain that I show
And those scars & tiny holes reminding the fool of the cruelty life gave
Underneath The Pain & the sickness of memories the heart can no longer save
If you could just go back & do what needed to be done so I don't have to feel anymore
Underneath The Pain is the ultimate reality of a deserving death beyond the black door

One more pill, another perpetual trip & the light is at it's end
Too Many Episodes, so why believe anymore when it is all pretend

And in my absolute ignorance of salvation from one touch

Scatter my ashes over the ocean where I once use to call your name
Given in to the twisted reality of promises & a unicorns game
I was free to believe with all my soul that I returned for a love so true
This Pathetic Heart called selfish & now the mirror looks back at you

And was is hard to forgive you for craving something you never received
Never felt cared for, loved or needed, so who was is that was deceived?
I opened up the sacred part of my soul that no one was given access to
My Secret Forever, but I think we both know my heart was always meant for you
