Huge fan of Lavatone's music, and combining talents with Shane Morris on 'Observation Deck' highlights the best attributes from both of these artists. These massive builds maintain the non-categorical rhythm-driven quality that Lavatone is known for. Slow, industrial progressions which utilize just as much wood and other earthly debris as they do metallics and factory noise. Props to Morris' mastery of delicate sound and tonal reverence working very well with Lavatone's mammoth percussion.

Incredibly difficult to find this type of low and slow industrial ambient without digging through hours of music on Bandcamp. My Own Cubic Stone seems to perfect a more recent style of writing with 'Rêves D'oppression.' Lumbering low end thumps propel these minimal dreary world-builders towards the edge of madness. The steady, relentless focus of the rhythms provides some grounding, though it will unnerve some and delight others. Well done to Kalamine Records for on another unique find.
